![]() Snap Layouts in Windows lets you organize open windows in various ways for better multitasking. Mission Control’s screen corner is like Snap Layouts It really helps me get back into my windows faster, just like Alt+Tab on Windows. MacOS even shows you the minimized instance of an application window at the bottom of the screen, with a quick way to bring it back up. Once configured, I can move my mouse to the top right of my screen and see all instances – open and minimized – of an app. Well, since I’ve been using Windows most of my life and I’m a Windows fanatic, I’ve found that the Application Windows feature in Hot Corners is very similar. However, the preview doesn’t show you what’s going on in your open windows and groups all open apps into one. You’ll get a thin preview window that shows you icons for your open apps. It is true that MacOS has this feature too. This is a great way to switch between open apps. The screen corner of the Windows application is like Alt + TabĪnother thing I use a lot in Windows is Alt + Tab. It’s a really convenient way to take a peek at the desktop without having to minimize all open windows. I often do this in Windows, and now it works just as easily in MacOS. Once selected, Hot Corners will now display my desktop simply by hovering over the lower right side of my screen. Setting my desktop to show was one of the first things I wanted to try. ![]() Hot Corners, found in the System Preferences menu for Desktop and screen saver, can be configured to use the corners of your display to automatically launch an application or menu. Well, with Hot Corners on MacOS, I can do the same. It’s a key feature that’s been around in Windows for a while, and it’s dead simple. You can view your desktop in Windows by clicking the thin line next to the date and time. This is because I often end up piling my most used files on the desktop, as well as some apps that are vital to my daily workflow. One of the things I use a lot in Windows is the ability to show the desktop with a single click.
